The fuel pump shut off switch ( inertia switch ) is in the front passengerfootwell behind the kick panel ( there is an access hole ) on a 2001 Ford Focus
Yes. It's a basic magnetic engine cut off switch. You don't see the DESS system until 1995 models.
On the 2000 Ford Focus it is in the right front passengers footwell , behind the kick panel ( there is an access hole )
In the right front passenger footwell , by the kick panel access cover
In the luggage compartment, on the left, behind the upholstery panel.
On the RHS of the passenger footwell behind a cover - check your owner's manual!
If you mean the cut off switch its located in right hand side (drivers side panel)just remove plastic cover and push switch down to reset.
We need to know which Ford you have, they are all different.
fuel cut off switch
cut the switch off join wires
Not equipped with a cut off switch.
What the switch looks like has changed over the years, the 1995 to 2001 switches are not the same looking as the 2002 and newer switches (on the 4 doors) The similarities are they (the fuel pump inertia switches) are all found in the right front passenger area. They all have a button on top, that pops up if the switch has been tripped, and they all have a wiring connector connected to the bottom of the switch. On 1991 to 1994 models, the switch is to the right of the transmission hump, mounted on the toe board , just under the edge of the carpet On 1995 to 2001 models, the switch is in the right front corner, mounted on the toe board , just beside the right foot kick panel On 2002 and newer (on the 4 doors) the switch is mounted on the right foot kick panel.
