I don't know if this will help, but I had to reset the anti-theft on my 2001 Jimmy today and this was the procedure: Try to start the engine, it will fire and die. Leave the key in the on position. Wait 10 minutes. The "Security" light will stay on during the 10 minute interval then turn off. Turn the key to the "off" position for 5 seconds. Repeat 3 times. (Yes. It takes 30 minutes and 15 seconds to reset the antitheft in a Jimmy.) 70.64.66.88 hit the nail on the head!
