it is at the rear of the cam on the driverside
It is located lower right hand side of engine unfortunately you will have to remove the distributor assembly to install as it is integral.
If I'm not mistaken, I think the camshaft position sensor on these engines is built into the distributor. You'd have to replace the whole thing.

The camshaft position sensor is located in the distributor on all 3.9L V-6 and 5.2/5.9L V-8 engines Camshaft Position Sensor REMOVAL Distributor removal is not necessary to remove camshaft position sensor Remove air cleaner assembly. Disconnect negative cable from battery. Remove distributor cap from distributor (two screws) Disconnect camshaft position sensor wiring harness from main engine wiring harness. Remove distributor rotor from distributor shaft. Lift the camshaft position sensor assembly from the distributor housing Camshaft Position Sensor INSTALLATION Install camshaft position sensor to distributor. Align sensor into notch on distributor housing. Connect wiring harness. Install rotor. Install distributor cap. Tighten mounting screws. Install air cleaner assembly. It's located on the distributor. You don't have to remove the distributor to replace the sensor. Remove the air cleaner, disconnect the negative battery cable, remove the distributor cap, disconnect the camshaft position sensor wiring harness, remove the distributor rotor, lift the camshaft position sensor assembly from the distributor housing Camshaft Position Sensor. Installation, Install the camshaft position sensor into the distributor. Align the sensor into the notch on the distributor housing, connect the wiring harness, reinstall the rotor, reinstall the distributor cap. Tighten the mounting screws, reinstall the air cleaner.
Remove oil filter cap. Using your torcT30 bit and Allen 5ml loosen back shaft to expose sensor. Remove and replace sensor , reverse install camshaft.

I called the ford dealership and they had this in stock from the price range of $35-$40. It is also pretty easy to install. Good luck.
By the valve cover. Some cam sensors need a special alignment tool to install; refer to repair manual before attempting.
A Chrysler LHS does not have a mass airflow sensor.
install hp cylinderheads and change out the camshaft
cps is easy to change find where it is, usually on front of block.unplug wires,remove blot ,pull out cps,install new cps,replace bolt,attach wires.u are good to go
