Does anyone get a fluttering sensation in uterus before AF due or is this a sign of pregnancy?

When I was pregnant last summer, I had fluttering and some cramping, not really bad, but I hadn't planned it or anything, so I wanted to get my period and like a couple days before I was due to get my period, I got some cramping and fluttering. Then they all went away. I think I might be pregnant now and I'm getting those same feelings again. I think that a lot of people are going to say no it's not your baby moving, and they're right it's not, but it's definitely your muscles moving and stretching to get ready. But that's if indeed you are pregnant. It could be just pre-period too. Good luck.

Before I found out I was pregnant I had a really weird sensation in my stomach... the only way I could describe it was 'butterflies', however it was almost like a combination between a feeling of being really happy and really nervous all at once. It would come and go and it just felt different. I knew if I were pregnant it would be waaaay to early to feel anything but this odd sensation made me suspect pregnancy. Sure enough, I am now 10 weeks so yes, definately, 'butterflies' in the stomach can be an early symptom of pregnancy!

I think that for a first pregnancy, it's usually at about 16 weeks at the earliest that the mother may feel the baby kick. If you've already had a baby, you might feel it earlier. But it's not really a kicking sensation, more like having a butterfly fluttering around in your tummy and you might even just think that it's wind or something at first! It's not till probably 20+ weeks before other people can feel it by placing their hand on your tummy.

I felt that same sensation very early on in all three of my pregnancies--like bubbles or fluttering. I believe it was around 7-8 weeks for each. Everyone said that it couldn't be the fetus because the fetus is too small, and that's probably true.
