Does anyone have a diagram of alternator belt placement on a 91 metro?
it goes on the crank water pump and alternator
can you change the alternator belt in a 1998 Chevy metro from under the car.
how do you replace 1997 alternator belt
You can get a fuse diagram for a 1992 Geo Metro in the car's owner's manual. You can also check with different auto stores.
Where is the tensioner
I believe the '92 Metro has three wires (two in one connector, one in the other) to the alternator.
in the alternator
dataflow diagram for airport management system
how do you wrap the serpentine belts around on the 1999 geo metro
check your battery ground and your alternator ground
Remove the cables from the alternator. Remove the wiring harness. Remove the alternator belt. Remove the retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install your new alternator.
The wiring diagram on a 1996 Geo Metro is located inside the service manual. It details the location of each electronic component and how they are connected to each other.
where can you find an engine diagram of a geo metro 3 cylinder 1.0L engine
We would like to know where the fuse box is located on a 1997 geo metro.
front of the engine
You can find the diagram for the fuse box on a 1990 Geo Metro in the car's owner's manual. You can also check local auto part retail stores.
Take it to the shop if you have never done it before
What kind of wiring diagram are you looking for? Engine, radio, lights etc.
Look for the diagram sticker on the underside of the hood!
If the engines are the same size then yes (ie) 3 cylinder 1.0L to 3 cylinder 1.0L.
You have to find the alternator then look at where it is connected to the motor there will be a slide mechanism that you will have to loosen which will release the slack on the belt so you can get it off.
A diagram for the fuse panel on a 1993 Geo Metro can be found in an automotive repair manual for that make and year of vehicle. This can be found for free at some public libraries or purchased at an automotive parts store.
The alternator is basically the tensioner on a three cylinder Metro. The bolt that holds the alternator tight to its adjustment bracket must be loosened. You may need to pry on the alternator to slide it so the belt will be loose enough to remove. After you have removed the old belt and put the new one in the correct way, the alternator will definitely need to be pried on to tighten belt, then tighten… Read More
the electrical diagram is in the book... buy a service manual or a chilton's book

Yes, the Metro is a branded version of the Suzuki model. However, the problem may come in the construction and placement of the hinges and latches from different model years.
I found a wiring diagram in the factory service manuals at my local library.
transmission goes into gear but wont hardly move
Why does your 97 Geo Metro have oil on alternator. Oil leak was fixed and new alternator installed. Oil all over alternator now.?
Check the dipstick tube o-ring. that's how I stopped my oil leak on my 1994 Geo Metro. I was having the same problem. The part only cost about .39 cents. Go to any hardware store to find it. Hope this helps
Metro pcs was founded by two white guys from Texas. not Verizon or anyone else

Why does anyone smoke? Seriously.
passenger side, on the back side of the motor between motor and the firewall. Top side of motor
1991 Geo Metro alternator problem your alternator smoked you replaced it but it happened again if you let it idle a minute it runs fine for awhile then it loses power and overheats the alternator?
If the battery is sulfated (or otherwise faulty) to such an extent that it calls for a continuous charge, the alternator never gets a chance to switch off. With the resposibilitiy to run continuously the alternator overheats and eventually fails. Never replace a faulty alternator without also checking the battery.
1969 geos must be very rare hahaha
Get yourself a Haynes repair manual for that car. It has a lot of good diagrams in it.
Most auto parts stores have wiring diagrams for a 97 Geo Metro. This includes wiring diagrams for the brake light, head lights, and much more.
Go to Autozone or Advance and get yourself a Haynes manual. They have very good schematics in the back.
you will need a chilton or haynes manual. However, you may have this at your local library and be able to copy it.
Alternator is not charging, or if it is the charge is not getting to the battery
What could be wrong with a 1996 geo metro if the battery isn't taking charge and it's not the alternator?
The battery has a dead cell or short and needs replacing.
That depends on whether you're lining up 2 timing belt pulleys to the timing marks or lining up water pump/alternator/crankcase pulleys Mr Geo Metro firstname.lastname@example.org
best answer: don't, just replace the alternator. this is something that must be done on a press using a special jig to clamp the parts on. not something the regular garage mechanic has access to. the effort and expense to do this is equal or greater than replacement of the alternator. only reason to do it is if the part is no longer available.
you can get a diagram in the service manual. Answer---- You can usually go to your local Autozone and ask them for a print out on the belt routing for almost any vehicle. I know, because I used to work for them.

A 97 Geo Metro that cranks but gets no spark is not getting enough power to the ignition coil or the coil itself is bad. The coil use the 12 volts of power provided by the battery and alternator to generate a very powerful spark.
It could be any number of things. Most common for the Geo Metro is one of the main engine fuses went out, one of the battery terminals shorted (happens a lot in older Metros), or a main engine component such as your alternator or starter is not working. Hope this helped :)
You will need a chiltons, or haynes manual. Otherwise your local library may have these and you will be able to copy the pages you need, good luck
Ive have heard that by removing the alternator fuse or replacing it with a blown one on a metro the disabled alternator would free up some horsepower that would normally be lost to parasitic drag?
This is true. It is equivalent to not putting any gas in the tank to reduce weight. You won't go very far. The alternator recharges the battery and provides power to run the electrical system ie computer etc.
