The ship I am looking for was called Athina or Rafah and was wrecked on Syrna Island during the post-war Palestine Patrol era. At that time she was employed by the Aliyah Bet organisation, transporting Holocaust survivors to Israel and Palestine. I understand that for some years she was partially submerged in Piraeus harbour, before being refloated and fitted with a diesel engine.
