if you mean eragon it is eldestI don't think it is the inheritance cycle, i think it is about the book by Cornelia Funke.I don't think there is a next book, sorry!
i have seen it on the computer but not in the stores at all. we want to know to what happened to Eragon in the next book?
I think it should be called The final battle because it will be the most epic battle between Galbatorix and Eragon.

christopher paolini is currently writing the 4th book of Inheritance. he mentions that it will have a green dragon on the front cover and the title will be something that eragon inherits. there are no dates for when it will be released yet.
2008 I think he has only written 2 books. Eragon and Eldest. His third book Brisngr is due out in September of 2008. He is also working on a forth book at this time.
Book 4 still has not been named yet and no release date or cover design has been anounced. but i would guess it will come out around the begining of next year
In the resolution of "Eragon," Eragon defeats the antagonist, King Galbatorix, with the help of his dragon Saphira and other allies. Eragon establishes a new order for dragon riders and works towards rebuilding Alagaësia. He also leaves Alagaësia to train the next generation of riders, signaling a new beginning for the land.
his first goal is kill the ra'zac, but he's too weak :P. so first he just follows Brom, and when he dies to save Eragon while Eragon was saving arya, Eragon has to reach the varden to save her, and his last goal is killing durza, who had killed Brom, then he'll get a goal for next book, go to Ellesmera and learn from Oromis and Glaedr.
