No. The coil packs can be removed without taking the fuel rail off.
They have coil packs so there is not a plug wire to follow, they are above the valve cover right beside the fuel injectors under the coil packs. The coil packs are round and black and the size of a silver dollar. Also you will have to take off the fuel rail to get to them. 2nd answer The fuel rail does not have to be removed. Just remove the connector and the one bolt from the coil and remove coil from the plug well. The fuel rail is not in the way.
Hi there you need to be more specific. What are the issues you experience? Could be a number of reasons, plugs, leads, coil packs, fuel pressure etc etc
Fuel filter, fuel injectors, fuel pressure from fuel pump. Sounds like a bad coil module. Located under your coil packs.
The fuel pump will cause it. Check the fuel pressure. It should be between 55-70.
will icreased voltage help fuel milage
coil packs, fuel pump or pressure regulator
The ignition modulator sits directly behind the coil packs. The coil packs mount onto the ignition modulator.
The plugs and coil packs are located on top of the engine. If you look at the fuel rails ( they are silver in color ) which will be on both sides of the throttle body the small coil packs are located under them. Use caution when R&R the plugs and packs not to break the clips holding them and damage the fuel rails.
Fuel pump, check pressure Coil, see if you are getting spark to plugs
Bad coil packs Bad wires Failed sparkplug Suspect coil pack first. Bad fuel injector
Remember that the number one problem with these vehicles is fuel pump related. Check your fuel pressure ;your pump may be getting weak.
