What is the use of a baking soda?
Baking soda is sometimes used as a deodorizer. Some people place a box in a refrigerator or anyplace that unpleasant odors occur. Soda is sometimes used as a powder in shoes to remove foot odor or rubbed onto hands after handling strong scented foods. Baking soda is sometimes used to repel and kill fleas and ants. It can be applied to pet fur, but must then be washed off immediately to prevent skin problems. Baking soda kills crab grass, but must be frequently applied. Baking soda can be used as an antacid. Mixed with water in a 10% solution softens earwax. Cosmetically, baking soda is used as a teeth whitener. Sprinkle some into your hair to absorb excess oil if you have not washed your hair. For cleaning, make a paste of baking soda and water to remove juice, wine and coffee stains and a cup of baking soda poured down a drain followed by 1/2 gallon of white vinegar will disolve the grease from a drain. ==
