Sorry but this is my best answer: go to a computer repair place and see if they can fix it.
that's virtually impossible to do yourself, but you can send it in to Nintendo and you should be able to buy a repair for it (or possibly get a free repair if the warranty lasted)
Call Nintendo and ask them, they have a few support numbers on their website, and it depends on where you live, call the Australian service if you live in Australia. Don't attempt to fix the Nintendo Wii by yourself, then the warranty wont cover it.
you probably would have to send your Nintendo ds lite to Nintendo company t fix it.
Go on eBay and you can buy the kit. It will come with the part, the tools and the instructions.
buy a new battery off of store.nintendo.com, if that does not work buy a new ac adapter from the same website.
