Blessed holy water which is blessed by a Catholic priest can cure illness, BUT it is a matter of FAITH, where the person with the illness or person attempting to cure the illness must believe in Gods power to do anything- this being healing.
Although holy water is not what does the healing but rather it is the power and grace of God which heals, so holy water is just a symbol.
Looking at it from a scientific standpoint, it can, if your mind believes so, like a placebo.
But no scientific evidence shows that it actually acts as a healing medicine otherwise.
