The Xbox 360 Elite System w/120GB HDD HDMI Port Wireless Controller and headset.
The only way that older Playstation 2 dual shock controllers will function with a Playstation 3 unit is through the use of a Usb controller adapter cord which allows the controller to be plugged in through the units Usb port and used.
Servos controllers deal with the robotic field. One type of servo controller is HiTechnic. Once configured, you can monitor and control six drives through an NXT sensory port.
Through a usb port. I don't think most wired 360 controllers connect directly to a PC or 360(?) but they all come with an adapter for both 360 allowing it to be used via USB which will also allow it to be used on PC games that support controllers, or with software that forces a game that doesn't allow use of a controller to use the controller with a certain setup. Not sure about the adapter but I only use USB controllers and all my 360 controllers have the adapter.
Below the power button (If its stood up-right - otherwise to the right of) there is a little flap you can push in that has 2 USB ports for the controllers to plug into.
Yes, there are controllers that can still connect via a serial port.
If the controller plugs into a USB port, yes.
Host controllers can NOT be downloaded. A host controller for hardware is always going to be a peice of hardware. in your situation, you probably don't have a USB2.0 high speed port. You can always get a USB2.0 PCI adapter.
No controller in port mean your controller is either defective, or broken. You will require to replace the device in order to solve this problem.
Take the controller cable and plug it into a computer USB port and into your controller and see if that works. A few hours should be enough. Make sure your system is set to automatically turn off your controllers when it turns off the system if it is not then the controllers will always use up there charge even though you are not using them. A Controller should work with the cable even if it is not charged so make sure your controller is working. At amazon.com I found a 2 pack of extra cables for only $10, but the price did go up after my purchase. A PS3 will not charge a controller when it is off, so I plug my controller into a USB Port on my Sony HDTV and know it is always fully charged. Some people purchase charging stations for the same reason.
Every wireless PlayStation 2 controller comes with a little plug-in receiver because the original controllers were wired but to do this, you have to plug your receiver into the controller port, then put AAA batteries in your controller, non-rechargeable ones are better because they have a longer life. Then you turn your joystick on, on most wireless controllers for PlayStation 2, the switch is found on the back above the battery cover, then a red light should come on both the joystick and the receiver. HAPPY PLAYING
Yes the PS3 controllers can charge on any USB port. I have a 4 USB port hub connected to my Sony HDTV that I use to allow the controllers to charge with extra charging cables
