yes, but it could be other problems as well. If rotor is out of round, it will vibrate, could also be a wheel imbalance or a bad wheel bearing or even uneven braking caused by a caliper issue. You will have to inspect all carefully.

Car vibrates when braking?

If your car vibrates when you are braking, you might have pads that have worn unevenly. You can have the brake pads inspected to see if there is wearing on the drum or if you have a problem with your rotors.

Why does your car vibrate when your at a stop light or while applying the brakes for a 2001 dodge stratus?

If you are saying it vibrates while applying the brakes just before you come to a stop, then the brake rotors are warped. You will need to have them turned and trued, and replace the front brake pads. If you are saying it vibrates while you are sitting still, then look for a vacuum leak.If you are saying it vibrates while applying the brakes just before you come to a stop, then the brake rotors are warped. Most likely rotors are "out of round" and need to be either re-surfaced or replaced.

When you press on the brake your car jerks?

The car "jerks". Pulls to one side or vibrates? Vibration when applying brakes is most likely warped rotors. Another cause could be loose caliper bolts. If the car is pulling it may be a caliper sticking or worn suspenion/steering parts.
