Usually no. Although Coca-Cola and Pepsi bottle almost none of the Dr Pepper in the US, and Coca-Cola has its own brand (Mr Pibb), several major distributors of Coca-Cola are the distributors of Dr Pepper, and there are relatively few PepsiCo distributors of the product. Coke's proprietary fountain beverage machines used in some Wendy's and Burger King franchises sell Dr Pepper, not Mr Pibb or Pepsi products. Taco Bell, formerly owned by PepsiCo, does sell Dr Pepper as well as Pepsi. The reverse is true for 7UP, which is widely distributed by PepsiCo, since Coca-Cola has a successful competition with their Sprite brand.
Pepsi and Coke are rival soda companies and people are always asking which is better. Really, nit is your own opinion which one is better. Some think Coke is better. Some say Pepsi is better. Some say Pepsi is sweeter. Some say Coke is sweeter. Truthfully, Coca Cola has less caffeine than Pepsi. But, it won't be me to tell you that Coca Cola has less caffeine so you shouldn't drink Pepsi.
Yes. There are indeed recipes to make your own cola. The finished product of any of those recipes will not have exactly the same flavor as Coca-Cola(R), Pepsi(R), or any other cola, but it will be cola. Those who wish to obtain and follow those recipes are encouraged to search for them on one of the various on-line search engines. Cheers.
