Talk to a doctor (not a quack) and he will tell you that your weight is related to your 'caloric intake', in other words: how much energy is in the food you eat or drink. Eat more than you spend and you gain weight, spend more than you take in and you lose weight.
Subconsciously your body knows how much calories are in that glass of water you drink (none) and so it does not adjust your hunger feelings after drinking a glass of water. Just drinking a glass of water will not magically make you lose weight, you will just pee a glass more. You need to change your behavior wrt your diet and exercise if you really want to lose weight, and that is hard. The easy way out is just to stop worrying and be happy enough with your own body.
If you drank 1 liter of ice cold water, it would amount to 20 calories of extra metabolic burn. To lose 1 pound you'd have to drink 175 liters of ice cold water! So 'technically' true, but for practical purposes, useless.
Most weight loss diets suggest drinking more water to aid in the use of your fat stores and assist in the weight loss. Some diets suggest drinking cold water because of a hypothesis that your body has to work to keep your internal temperature up to normal when you consume large amounts of very cold water and one way it does this is by increasing your metabolism that also burns excess fat (shivering is one method your body uses to do this).
However, that alone will not make you thin. So, if you want to be thinner, you'll need to eat more healthy foods and smaller portions along with increasing your body movement and drinking more water. You can walk, clean house, rake leaves, climb steps and other things to exercise, it does not have to be done at a gym or with special equipment. Work in to your daily routine several short sessions of increased movement and exertion each day and that will help.
If you are not wanting to be thinner, then drinking water will not hurt and will help keep you healthier in general. Some people can get an uncomfortable stomach when they drink too much cold water, so drink it more slowly and not as cold if this is a problem.
no it doesnt make you thin but it's healthy to drink around 6-10 glasses a day beause it replaces the lost water through sweat etc and it good to drink if you are on a programme to loose body fat
No, sitting in hot water does not help you to lose weight?
yes it does help you lose weight because water has hydrogen in it and h20.
Cold drinking water may help you burn a few extra calories as you digest it because your body has to work harder to maintain its core temperature. But itβs not likely that drinking cold water is a powerful jump-start tool for weight loss.
no
No. Does sitting help you lose weight? No. Whether water is hot or cold doesn't matter, even if it spikes your metabolism a little, it's not significant enough to make a difference, much less make you lose weight.
You cannot lose weight by taking a cold shower. A warm shower will help because it will help burn the excessive fats beneath your skin.
No.
No, but drinking water throughout the day helps you lose weight.
No... exercise! It's the most best way to lose weight. :)
