I have been on Copaxone for about 6 years now and saw no weight gain until recently. I knew I had put on a few pounds and just thought it was coming with age. As I continued to try to diet and really watch what I was eating along with running 3 miles 5 days a week I noticed my weight kept going up up and up some more. Pretty soon within 4 months I had gained about 47 pounds. I knew something was definitely not right. It hadn't even occurred to me that it could be my copaxone. I started to do 6 miles a day and go to a dietitian for help. My weight kept increasing. I than looked at the side effects of the drug and it says about 1-3% experience weight gain.. Well 5% experience bleeding and I bleed every time so I am guessing that I am also in the 1-3% weight gain. I am currently talking to my doctor to see if I can get off of the Copaxone. It really has had some bad effects on me.
