Because you are not legally liable in any contract until you are "of age" (18) there is no legal grounds for anything to be on your credit report.

As well, your credit does not reset at 21. Things do fall off your credit report (check your state for time frame) after several years. Given that there has been zero activity( no payments...NO charges etc...)

Is it possible to reset my credit history score?

No, there is no way to reset your credit score. If you are serious about restoring your credit, start by contacting your debtors and making payment arrangments. It also sounds like you should contact a credit advisor to learn how these decisions affect your credit and how you can take steps to move in the right direction to repair it.

What happens if the wife is on the mortgage and not on the note and the husband dies?

If the wife signed the mortgage and not the note that means that if the mortgage isn't paid the lender can take possession of the property by foreclosure. It will not affect the wife's credit but by signing the mortgage she consented to the lien on the real estate. If the wife signed the mortgage and not the note that means that if the mortgage isn't paid the lender can take possession of the property by foreclosure. Are there any credit cards that won't negatively affect my credit score?

Your best bet would be to close those older credit cards. While it may take some time, your credit score can be improved. However, opening a new credit card, even if it doesn't affect your credit score may not be the best way to go. I am unsure if there is a credit card that wouldn't affect your credit score.

Will repeated declined transactions on a credit card affect your credit rating or affect how a bank views you as a loan candidate?

Declined transactions on a credit card would seem to indicate that you have exceeded your credit limit. Exceeding your credit limit will reduce your credit score. This means that a bank would take a very close look when you apply for more credit.

Does it hurt your credit to take out a second mortgage?

Taking out a second mortgage can affect your credit score, but it depends on how much of your available credit you are using. Like with a credit card, people who are closer to their borrowing limit are less favorable to banks than people with a lot of credit available.

Your credit score can be impacted by available credit. Available credit being the amount of debt you could owe, if used. To use the amount, occasionally, and pay the funds back immediately will help you build a repayment history.

If you pay off all of your credit card debt how long will it take for this to positively affect your credit?

Make sure that you leave a couple of cards open with small balances so that they will keep reporting to the credit agencies. IF you pay everything off, you will not have anything reporting to the credit agencies.
