Say good bye to that glossy look with a spray can. Some folks use clear, matte finish paint. You can see right through it to the color of the original finish, but the matte finish breaks up the "smoothness" and kicks that glossy look to the curb. Just about any hardware store will have it, and so will the big box outfits.
The best way to get shiny hardwood floors is to sand and refinish them and use a glossy (or semi gloss finish). Not only will your floors look glossy, but they will stay glossy looking even after you clean them. (If you floors are in good condition and don't have any scratches, an alternative is to screen & recoat where you just add another coat of polyurethane and you choose a glossy (or semi gloss finish). Please note that some of the products out there that you can rub on and claim to give you a glossy finish will only give your floors a temporary sheen and that they use waxes and oils that will actually damage the finish/polyurethane on the floor and cause to refinish your floors sooner.

This could one of two types; a plaid or a tweed. Both are woollen and have a checked look to them. Plaid has more of a glossy look than tweed.
In order to determine if a baseball card is glossy, you need to look at the exterior of the card. If it is shiny and has no scratches, chances are it is glossy. Also, the sides must have rounded corners to be considered glossy.
There are far less options when dealing with compact printers of any kind, namely inkjet. Deciding whether you want glossy or matte may be simple but the finish will look different depending on the power of the printer.
no it's not bad it makes your lip have a shiny, glossy look!
It depends on the look you're going for. If you like the wood look, then you can use a chemical stripper to remove the current finish on the door, sand it, and then refinish it with stain plus varnish. If you'd prefer a painted look, then an interior latex or oil-based paint will be fine. I would recommend a semi-gloss or gloss finish for the door, because doors are touched often, and glossy paint is easier to keep clean.
