Sadly, it's not likely they'll survive. Sometimes young tigers can go to sanctuaries that resemble what it's like in the wild, so they can get a feel for being a wild tiger. Then, when they're older, they might be able to return.
Without the training and work, I don't believe they can. It's the sad truth. That's why people should leave wild animals in the wild. This is basically true with all animals; especially turtles. People take them home against their wishes. Then one day, it may have to return and die without the memory of the wild.
Hopefully, more of these sanctuaries could come up and help more adult animals to try to get them too, but it'll be hard. It's easier to train a younger animal since it has little experience from their world. The earlier the better; like with training a dog or cat.

The only trading location for the island is at Nabooti. Swap the ebony elephant for the fingo and return it to the Kaya Forests, where the spirits will give you the green jewel.

Give the artifact (ebony elephant) to the trader at Nabooti who will give you the missing "fingo" (talisman). Return the fingo to the Kaya Spirits to get the Green Jewel.
