Check the electric fan to see if it is working.
There are 2 fans that would be running while you are driving and that is normal... the compressor fan if you have the air conditioner running and the radiator fan runs to help keep the radiator cool while the engine is on.
I would check the electric fan (if so equipt), when the engine stops the hot water is not circulated it needs the fan to cool it. When they get older the thermometer quits doing it's job.
A fan has an electric motor that changes electrical energy in to mechanical energy, for the purpose of moving air. -------------------------------- or a "punkawallah" driving a blade. or a hero/star to follow.

the sensor is probly bad or you have short in it
if its not turning on then its broken.
that is just the way it is ,it's a clutch fan and it will stay turning until the fan stops. It is not a clutch fan it has two fans and they are electric, but i have the same problem they run and dont turn off utill the battery dies.
Check your electric fan operation and coolant level. If the fan is not working, temp will increase at idle and will decrease when air moves across the radiator while moving.
It may be the fan belt.
your electric fan is not working , check the fuse ,then the relay , then fan motor , one or more will be bad .
Drive end is shaft end, where you attach load. NDE/Non drive end is usually a fan in electric motors.
