There are many causes of epilepsy. It will depend on what the father's cause is. It can be hereditary, but more often than not it isn't. So it is something that cannot be answered here. Only a doctor that knows about a particular individual's case could answer the question, and even then they could not always be certain.

In some cases a propensity for various forms of epilepsy can be transfered from parent to child due to genetic factors. In other cases, though, epilepsy is the result of something unique within the individual, or due to environmental factors.
