That is a very good question. There are so many ideas going around about what happens to us when we die, and many scary ones at that. The Bible has a clear answer to this question though. It is found at Ecclesiastes 9:5 where it says, "For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing at all..." The Bible says that, the dead know nothing at all. It is as if they are in a prolonged sleep-like state. With that, the Bible provides us with hope that we can live again. At John 5:28 it tells us, "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out..." Here the Bible is showing us that there will be a time where those who have died will be able to live again and enjoy life forever.
