Yes everyone has to die to be able to pass from mortality to immortality.
Strictly speaking there is no death, only the passing from one stage of our existence to another.
This death consists in the separation of the eternal spirit from the mortal body so that the body is left to go back to the dust or element from which it was created (meaning organized), and the spirit is left to sojourn in a world of waiting spirits until the day of the resurrection.
It is just as important to die as to be born. Birth, life and death are all part of the progression of man.
