If the insurance company runs a credit report, this will put a mark on your insurance showing that it was viewed. Receiving too many quotes or having too many inquiries on your credit can be a bad thing.
Universal life insurance is special in that it allows the policy owner to alter the time period and amount of premium payments as well as the death benefit and you can do this while the policy is in effect. However the altered payments must be with limitations of the company you are getting the insurance through.

While I would queston some of what your saying about your coverage, just because it is contrary to my experience on limits - without question: The amount of insurance you carry does not alter the amount of your liability to pay for damages, only the amount of it that the insurance company will pay. The good & bad news about getting out of it is basiclly the same: Likely the other parties insurance will cover them for your underinsurance...so they themselves won't be coming after you. But, their insurance company will....and insurance Cos are very experienced....and relentless, in doing so.

When it comes to auto and general insurance, there are several things that you can do in order to reduce your payments. One of the most expensive things that you can do is not pay for insurance at all, so don't give up on your insurance payments. There are plenty of things that you can do in order to reduce your premium, whether the issue is auto or general insurance. Remember that insurance is a numbers game. The higher a risk you are perceived to be by the insurance company, the more you will need to pay. This can be affected by factors like age and gender, which you can't change, but it can also be affected by your driving history, credit score, and so forth. Look into factors that influence your risk, and alter these behaviors. Be willing to increase your deductible. The higher your deductible, the lower your premiums will be. Don't increase your deductible higher than the amount that you would actually be able to pay in the even of an emergency, of course, but most people's deductibles are too low.
