It depends on which god you are referring to.
if god will allow them to have more children they have as many as god will allow
In the Bible Old Testament many men had more that one wife--Abraham and Jacob for example. King David had many wives and King Solomon had 700 wives! The Romans instituted monogamy. Modern Islam allows for up to four wives. Think about it--If God did not allow you to have more that one wife, it would be physically impossible to do so. The laws of men are the issue....
There is no New Testament text that tells of God giving any man more than one wife. New Testament books specifically refer to a Christian man, and elders and bishops having one wife.

I think that perhaps you mean that God will not allow Satan to put upon us any more than we can withstand. Satan is limilted with the amount of trouble that he can cause us. Remember Job? God let Satan tempt him with all maner of temptations and troubles, but He did not allow him to take Job's life.
Although polygamy was practised by some Old Testament personalities, monogamy was always God's ideal for humanity (Matthew 19:4-5) according to the Bible.
The views on polygamy vary among different religious beliefs. In some religions or cultures, marrying more than one wife may be accepted or even encouraged. However, in many other religions and societies, including Christianity, it is not considered approved or endorsed by God. Ultimately, individual beliefs and interpretations may play a role in determining one's perspective on this matter.
