Climate change will have an effect upon an infinite number of variables that our culture is unable to consider becausae the relationshiops just have not been explored yet. A danger about climate change is that it is globally uniform and damage being caused by one culture to the climate will cause an effect upon the entire world for generations to come.

One example involves the amount of water on the planet. Water will expand when its heat is increased. Our world is covered 2/3 in water and a small amount of heat will cause what may only seem to be a slight expansion. Add that small increase to all of the water on the earth and it will add up, causing a rise of sea level. Without any action taken, a significant portion of land can be absorbed by the water with a pattern that cannot be immediatey changed. Once that is done it wont go back, the damage is ours to come for hundreds of years until the problem is resovled.

We do not have the technology to absorb the amount of carbon produced by the changes that industry has caused. The causes in temperature have harmed plant life that has been essential in keeping the ratio of carbon to oxygen in a specific balance. People wont end the world with global warming, just enough life to stop the human race and life will continue on with another species.
