Very doubtful, especially if this is a result of normal house settling over time. Most policies specifically excludes damage to walls, ceilings, foundations etc from damage due to settlement.

Water and coffee spilt on laptop computer is that covered
Depends on the cause. Typically settling and sink hole is not covered under a homeowners policy.
It may if is a result of freezing due to power failure or storm. Not due to negligence or poor design.
Doubtful....sounds like you may have a settling issue with the house. Homeowner's policies do not cover "shrinking, settling, cracking or bulging" unless caused by a covered peril (ex. wind, tree damage, fire, etc). I would contact your builder immediately.
It depends on the specific perils and exclusions of your policy. But generally speaking most insurance policies exclude any damaged caused by settling or earth movement.
It depends on the specific perils and exclusions of your policy and what actually caused the damage. If it was caused by settling or earth movement these perils are usually excluded.
The answer to this question has little to do with the cracked ceiling but what caused the ceiling to crack in the first place. If it is caused by settling of the home or earth movement then the ceiling crack would not be covered. If a tree limb fell due to a windstorm and damaged the ceiling then it would be covered under a homeowners policy.
that depends on your auto insurance, not the state.
A Met Life homeowners policy is a standard homeowners policy and would be the same as most other policies. Damage due to improper workmanship or settling of the home would not be covered on any homeowners policy. Loss must be due to a covered cause in order for the loss to be covered on the policy. Neither of these items are a covered cause.
