No it does not. If one can afford to do so. Get the pipe replaced. Putting oil on it could make the metal supple causing it to burst.
Keep it soaked with penetrating oil and wait and/or gently apply heat to the base of the distributor.
take it to a mechanic Soak it with a good penetrating oil, tap it with a hammer and if that fails apply heat.
are you sure its not rusted? cause me 92 Plymouth acclaim's oil pan rusted, and i had to get a new one. it only cost like 3-$400.
While you can't really remove the rust, you can use penetrating oil to help get the screw loose, and you can use sandpaper on it to remove the rust you can get to.
I assume your referring to the flexible exhaust pipe that goes under the engine and oil pan out to the resonator ?. simply jack up the car and remove the exhaust pipe at the exh manifold on the front of eng. should be 4 or 6 bolts . do not break the studs off!! use penatrant oil if neccessary. then remove the clamp at the resonator area slide the pipe off . you may have to cut the pipe here with a hack saw if it is one piece or frozen/rusted. then replace it and clamp it back in place with a slip coupler that fits over the two pieces of pipe or weld it if you can.
You can try spraying the rusted parts with a penetrating oil like wd40 or a product designed to loosen rusted on bolts. Let it soak for a bit before trying to remove. In my experience a big hammer is big help.
