It really doesn't matter, but all of us like to be told that we are loved. Some men just can't utter the word "love", but their actions sure show how much they love their partner. I loved the movie "Ghost" with Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze where she would tell him she loved him, and he'd gently smile, hug her close and simply say, "Ditto!" After he was murdered and his ghost came back to protect her it was then he realized he should have told her just how much he loved her and in the movie he succeeded. In reality, if we love someone we should tell them every so often we love them because one day, they may just not be there to let them know how we feel. I wouldn't worry about this and just enjoy every moment you have with your partner. Actions speak louder than words. Marcy

If you are planning to tell your parents or other family members, wait until both you and your partner (or in the case that your partner is an asswipe, you are) are ready for them to know.
