not really because think anout it,when you come home you turn the heat back up and it takes all thet much longer to achieve the desired tempurature
I'm assuming this person does not have a degree in thermo-dynamics. Yes, it does superficially appear that reheating your home would increase your energy output and cost. However, reheating requires less total energy than maintaining a constantly higher heat (especially as outside temperatures decrease). The large majority of experts agree that turning down the heat results in a net energy savings.
you can save heat by turning it down
Turn off lights when you leave rooms, turn off fans, use heat only when you need it...
If you're looking to cool off your home, or save energy (and money).
You can save money,heat,electricity,and energy
You could turn it down because then it would save energy and be better for the environment - it would also save you money however not too low because otherwise the house would cool down too much and it would take a lot more energy to heat it back up.
Pool covers should always be left on during heating. This will cut down on the heating time and therefore save you money on energy costs. as soon as you have finished swimming, replace any covers you have to retain as much heat as possible.
you are not moving so you are not creating heat and the temperature is probably in your home is probly turned down to save energy
There are many ways to save energy. Some are:Turn the lights off when you leave a roomPut full loads of clothes in the laundryUse energy efficient appliancesDon't use electrical appliances that muchWear a sweater instead of turning the heat onRemember; These are only some ways to save energy. There are many more. BE GREEN!
by getting a life
Yes
it depends, if you leave it off for like 7 hours every day, yes it does, but if u turn it back on, ur actually spending more energy, plus, if u let ur home heat up, when u turn ur ac on again, its gonna use more energy to cool it down.
One of the best ways to save energy and save money is to turn off electrical items that you do not need. If you are leaving a room, turn out the lights. If you are not watching a television show, don't leave the TV on just for the sound. Many people do not realize that items plugged into an electrical outlet are still using energy even if they are not actually turned on. Unplug appliances that you only use on occasion to save energy and save money. For example, if you only use your coffee maker in the morning, don't leave it plugged in all day. It will continue using small amounts of energy throughout the day even though it is not in use. Another way to save energy and save money is to leave items you use often in sleep mode. For example, if you use your computer most of the day, keep it in sleep mode or hibernation instead of shutting it down. It actually takes more energy to shut down and start up a computer than it does to simply leave it on in a lower energy mode.
