Matthew 6:6 "But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to the Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly."
Jesus warns us in Matthew 6:1 to "take heed that ye do not your alms before men to be seen of them; otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven." See also Luke 8:17 "nothing is secret" and Romans 2:16 "In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel."
