Only if the owners manual recommends it.
No, Saturn recommends that you use SAE 5W-30 conventional, synthetic, or synthetic blend. Use no other weight.
5W-30 Synthetic or Synthetic blend.
I was looking at the 2002 Lincoln LS Owner Guide and it shows ( 5W-20 ) and also in the book it shows ( 5W-20 , Motorcraft Premium Synthetic Blend )
A 5w-20 synthetic blend, is recommended in my 02. I would recommend the same.
5W 30 Synthetic Blend
5w-20 non-synthetic
5w-20 of any synthetic motor oil brand.
Calls for 5W-30. Also recommends Synthetic Blend.
well you need to tell us what motor is in the f 150,but for the most common is 5w-20 premium synthetic blend motor oil
5W-30 try a synthetic blend since your car is newer ***Synthetic blend is not necessary in this engine, and the only benefit that you will see from the use of synthetic fluid is the ability to go longer in between oil changes. Due to the cost of synthetic oil, the existence of little or any benefit is arguable. Use, at the most, a synthetic-blended 5W-30 engine oil.
I was looking at the 2002 Lincoln LS Owner Guide and it calls for 5W-20 semi synthetic . ( as long as you have no oil leaks , or are using oil , then 5W-20 , 100 % synthetic should be better ) P.S. I'm not a mechanic / technician but I have been using 100 % synthetic in my 1995 Ford Explorer since 2001
Motorcraft SAE 5W-20 Premium Synthetic Blend will provide optimum fuel economy and usability performance that meets your vehicle requirements.
