If you support the Stormcloaks for the Civil War quest, then yes, Jarl Ulfric will become High King of Skyrim. If you join the Imperial Legion, he is killed.
Simply put, no.
If you mean the high king, yes I believe that you can side with the stormcloaks and then you kill the leader of the imperials and Ulfric is like oh I don't want to be high king, so in effect you can become high king.
No, the Civil War quest line will give you your answer. Ulfric Stormcloak is believed to be High King, if you win the Stormcloak quest line, but Ulfric calls upon the Jarls to decide, so no one knows who inherits the throne.
Certain NPC's are flagged as essential until a certain stage of the game where they can be killed. Most (if not all) Jarls are flagged as essential and the Jarl of Whiterun is critical for the game's main questline progression. So attempting to kill an essential character will only make them unconscious for a while. Now, the morality issue of attempted murder of a Jarl is considered regicide and therefore the highest crime to king and country. If there is a Jarl that can be killed and you have been seen doing so will increase your crime in that region greatly and the news will spread all over Skyrim. However, you may get to actually do this during a quest. Killing a Jarl just because you can is a very bad idea, but I've never attempted such a thing. Try it and see what happens, but save your game first.
No
It's basically about the high king's murder and dragons returning back to Skyrim.
The end of the main quest features the king dragon Alduin being defeated by the Dragonborn, although the game can still continue after.

You can't mod the console versions of Skyrim, they are exclusive to the PC version.
The King's elder son, the Prince of Wales - or if he is under-age, a temporary Prince Regent who is usually an uncle.
Major settlements in todays old town Stockholm occurred after the town Sigtuna had been pillaged 1187. According to the Ericssaga King Birger Jarl founded the town in 1252.
I don't think that the plot is similar but I have noticed that the mountain High Hrothgar in skyrim appears to be named after the Dwarven king Hrothgar from the Inheritance series. That's all I've come across so far.
yes he did become king of Egypt
