And that is why it show Kiba running at the end. *They didn't even find paradise. ^Kiba saw a glimpse of it and died. Then he was reborn and finds Cheza as a flower. The end.

Being a Japanese manga and the way the culture is it is highly unlikely they are not at least engaged if they are happily living together.
