It really depends on where you reside. Some states such as Illinois, under their new licensing laws for recovery agents mandate that the repossessor notify the police before the repossession and again after it is complete. Most states require notice after the repossession but there are a few jurisdiction in some of those states that require prenotice to the local law enforcement agency.
NO THE ORDER IS GIVEN FROM THE LENDER TO RECOVERY AGENT THE POLICE NEVER GET THIS INFO?
The police only know when the tow driver is enroute to pick up the vehicle. If the owner calls in the morning to report their car stolen, we will have a note stating the car was repo'd and to contact their lender. Most drivers do not do this, even though they should. We do not keep any records. And the lender CANNOT report the vehicle stolen.
no in the state of pa police are notified only when the car is being taken by the recovery agent they do not know ahead of time
The repossession agent is not a law enforcement agent, and has no such authority.

How do you write a car repossession letter?
Repossession of a carDo you mean, "can you be arrested for not allowing repossession of a car?" If so, then yes, you can.If you meant 'can you be arrested for repossessing a car?" you can't as long as you have a permit/license to do so and conduct yourself in a lawful manner duriong the actual repossession.Added; In potentially violent situations, repossessors will sometimes call law enforcement and ask them to 'stand by' while they take the vehicle, but only to prevent a breach of the peace. Law enforcment will play no part in assisting in the actual repossession of the vehicle, inasmuch as repossession is done under a civil court order, and is not a criminal matter
Well, you need to contact the LEINHOLDER to tell them where the car is livibg. LOL OR contact a local repo company and let them take care of it. Dont forget your "finders fee".
is concealing a car from repossession a felony in georgia?
Repossessors are supposed to notify law enforcement when they repossess a car.
The repossession process of a car usually takes about 6 months

Pay the note or lose the car. The vehicle may be recovered from any location that is discovered provided the repossession agent does not violate the FFDCP Act or break the peace. If the debtor breaks the peace, that is on the debtor; many go to jail for such behavior. If the repossession agent is not able to notify the debtor that he has secured the vehicle, the agent is legal bound to contact the jurisdictional law enforcement agency that a repossession has taken place with 24 hours of securing the vehicle. Most contact law enforcement as they are driving away from the recovery.
Possibly, but they can certainly prevent you from interfering, as it is no longer your car, hence the repossession.

If your asking if your auto insurance provides protection from repossession for non payment of you car note. No, there is no such thing.Your auto insurance provides coverage for accidental injuries and or damages, it does not cover your car notes.AnswerI don't know what repossession insurance is. I know about life insurance, but I've never heard that term. Please re-post your question if this doesn't help!
When you purchased the car, you may have received a lien title from the state. This is not a clear title of ownership. The lender in essence still owns the vehicle, at least part of it. It is held in security for the loan. If you are a repossession company or agent, you will be required to have an order of repossession. But, if you are a repossession company or agent, you should already know this.

RepossessionCall your local dispatching service for your law enforcement. The Repo man is required to report the repo immediately to them. You could also call the bank or company that has financed your loan. In Illinois, we are required to report repossessions immediately to the police. In some cities, the police want to know BEFORE we repossess. So when you call your local P.D. to report your car stolen, they can let you know if the car has been repossessed.
The repossession agent shows up and takes the car if everything goes correctly.
