Its a Clinton era ar-15. Marked restricted law enforcement government use only.
100-1400 USD depending on EXACT configuration, condition, box, papers, accessories.
they are bothe very similar but i would have to say the m4 because of higher power and it is used by the military not like the ar-15 which is mostly used by law enforcement. It depends on the m4 though because there is a very wide variation of models of the m4 unlike the ar-15 which is one basic model... there isn't much difference between the m4 carbine and the ar-15
When Armalite first developed the rifle, they gave it the nomenclature of AR-15. When they sold the rights to Colt, Colt continued using the AR-15 name, and applied it to all variants of the rifle (usually accompanied by a model number). M16 is a military nomenclature - the rifles are still AR-15 rifles, but built to certain specifications, as required by military and law enforcement customers.
He did.
no they are different thing...the ar-15 is not a carbine and is mostly used by law enforcement as the m4 is a carbine used by the military...they look very similar and have a set of things about them that make them hard to tell the difference between them..they also have mostly the same functions and stats as well as rpm, (rounds per minute) power, distance rating, and caliber of bullet...does that help?
I assume you mean how is an AR-15 rifle made, so here we go: The AR-15 is based on the 7.62 mm AR-10, designed by Eugene Stoner of the Fairchild ArmaLite corporation.[9] The AR-15 was developed as a lighter, 5.56 mm version of the AR-10. The "AR" in AR-15 comes from the ArmaLite name. ArmaLite's AR-1, AR-5, and some subsequent models were bolt action rifles, the AR-7 a semiautomatic survival rifle and there are shotguns and pistols whose model numbers include the "AR" prefix.[9] 1973 Colt AR-15 SP1 rifle with 'slab side' upper receiver (no forward assist) and original Colt 20 round box magazine ArmaLite sold its rights to the AR-10 and AR-15 to Colt in 1959. After a tour by Colt of the Far East, the first sale of AR-15s were made to Malaysia on 30 September 1959 with Colt's manufacture of their first 300 AR-15s in December 1959.[10] Colt marketed the AR-15 rifle to various military services around the world, including the U.S. Navy, Air Force, Army, and Marine Corps. The AR-15 was eventually adopted by the United States military under the designation M16. However, Colt continued to use the AR-15 trademark for its semi-automatic variants (AR-15, AR-15A2) which were marketed to civilian and law-enforcement customers. The original AR-15 was a very lightweight weapon, weighing less than 6 pounds with empty magazine, though later heavy-barrel versions of the civilian AR-15 can weigh upwards of 8.5 lbs.[11] Today the AR-15 and its variations are manufactured by many companies and have captured the affection of sport shooters and police forces around the world due to their accuracy and modularity. Federal law is 18
Well, honey, that prefix "LBD" on your Colt AR-15 A3 serial number doesn't stand for "Little Black Dress," that's for sure. In the world of firearms, LBD stands for "LBD Industries," which is the company that manufactured your rifle. So, there you have it - now go out there and shoot responsibly!
With the AR-15 style rifles, the lower IS the receiver, which, by law, IS the firearm. The upper is "parts". Typically the lower is also the most expensive component. If you are concerned that you may have a stolen firearm, contact local law enforcement. Most will check a firearm to see if it is listed on the NCIC system as a stolen weapon, and if so, to contact the owner. If it IS stolen, it is not yours. If you had a gun stolen, YOU would like to have it returned- right?
catching fire is 17 ar points and mockingjay is 15 i think :)
The AR-15 was created by a design team led by Eugene Stoner. Initially, the AR-15 was intended to be a companion rifle to the AR-10; the AR-10 was intended to replace the M1 Garand while the AR-15 was intended to replace the M1, M2, and M3 carbines.
