Yes, but why not go to the store and buy a product call sun-in. If you're blonde it lightens and if your brunette is goldens and reds. I've been using it for years and love it for a quick spike of color at the fraction of the cost of salon tinting and it grows out naturally.

∙ 15y agono, but it can act as a hilighter. if you put lemon juice on your hair, then go out into bright sunlight for a long period of time (a couple of hours) it will lighten your hair, giving it natural highlights. the sunnier it is and the longer you stay out, the lighter it will get.
