Check to see if the gas is still escaping. If it is, the regulator bulb or the valve seat may be damaged. All cylinders have a fuseable plug and if it is leaking from there evacuate the area immediately and call emergency personnel. If it is from the valve area you may be able to stop the leak by tightening the packing nut at the base of the valve stem. With the regulator attached open the cylinder valve slightly and tighten the packing nut. Check to see if this stops the leak. If immediate attempts fail, evacuate the area.
