Initially, Lord Capulet is hesitant about Juliet marrying at a young age in "Romeo and Juliet." He believes it is too soon due to Juliet's age and emotional maturity. However, this changes when he decides to arrange her marriage to Paris, reflecting cultural norms and societal expectations of the time.
Romeo wants to marry Juliet. Lord Capulet thinks it's a bad idea because he believes Juliet is too young and that the marriage might be rushed. He also prefers Paris as a suitable match for his daughter.
Capulet will not give permission to Paris to marry Juliet in Act 1 because, firstly, she is too young, being not quite fourteen, and also because she and Paris have never met, so how can she consent to the marriage? Talk to her, says Capulet, get her love, and we can consider it . . . in about two years' time.
If you have a daughter already, obviously you're NOT too young!
Lady Capulet tells Juliet to think about marriage because it was a common expectation during that time period for young women to marry at a relatively young age. Additionally, marriage was seen as a way to ensure financial security and social status for the family. Lady Capulet likely believed that finding a suitable husband for Juliet was in her best interest and would secure her future.

that he wants Paris to woo Juliet, but she is currently too young
Capulet is upset with Juliet's decision because the women back in that society were supposed to listen to what their father wants. When Juliet refuses to marry Paris, he feels as if she is rejecting his authority of the house. Capulet chose Paris because he is young, good-looking and very successful. To him, this is a perfect choice for a husband. However, Juliet refuses and this is an insult to him because it basically means that Capulet cannot chose a good husband for his own daughter.
He thinks Juliet is too young to marry.
juliet is introduced to the audience when the nurse and her mother aske her opinion of marriage.Lady Capulet tries to rush juliet to marry as if she wants her gone. The nurse, however, is patient and quite close to juliet this is because the nurse had a daughter like juliet but she died and the nurse was there throughout juliets life she remembers all the memories.People would think mothers would want a bond between their children and them but not Lady Capulet.Lord Capulet and Lady Capulet are very different as when Paris had asked Lord Capulet permission to marry juliet lord capulet said that she was still young and immature he also says that she means the world to him for this reason he tells paris to wait two summers (2 years ) he also tells paris to woo her(make her fall in love with him).
Lady Capulet believes its completely normal for young girls like Juliet (13 , reaching 14 years old) to get married. This is because Lady Capulet herself got married at that age and also saw many young girls in Verona Juliet's age who are married. Lord Capulet does not like marriage so young. This is shown when he talks to Paris, a man who wants to marry Juliet. He tells Paris to wait 2 years until she is older, then he can marry her.
In Act 4, Capulet promises Paris that he can marry Juliet without consulting her first. He then demands that she live up to his promise. This is surprising because in Act 1 he refused Paris's request to marry her on the grounds that she was too young and should wait a few years.
At first Capulet says that she is too young to marry, and he would like her to wait until she's sixteen. However, he has no objection to Paris getting to know her and trying to get her affection.
