yes it actually increases horsepower and torque its not going to be a huge difference in power but it will increase it a little you will also get great sound out of it..in my opinion flowmaster has the better sound but magnaflow is better in the performance category
The Magnaflow muffler has gained acclaim as one of the best available performance exhaust systems on the market. The Magnaflow muffler is made of a rust resistant steel built to endure years before needing to be replaced.
One way to increase the horsepower of your car is to get rid of its stock muffler and replace it with a straight-through muffler. They are designed to keep the car quiet, but the rob it of horsepower. Another way is to buy an intake kit that will draw in the coldest air you can get.
i just installed a magnaflow hi flow cat 2 weeks ago on my ride i got 4 hp a gain
Magnaflow is a type of muffler produced in USA, they are mostly used on RWD V-8 cars as part of an aftermarket exhaust system. They are noted for their distinct throaty rumble when used with American V-8 motors.
3 to 8 maybey 10 but not likely
Try cutting the low side of the cam off. Run octane in it. A cirled muffler that looks like a circle adds horsepower ( or any muffler thatholds back pressure). And tilt it 7 degrees forward. And Put a motorcycle carbuetor on it with an air filter.
About 3-5 hp
about 255 to 260 horsepower stock i have a cold air and a throttle body spacer plus magnaflow exhaust and headers and i am making around 300 horse
well you have to realize flowmaster mufflers are not straight through like magnaflows they have chambers. the super 44 is only a 2 chambered muffler so you willl get horse power but not as much as if you put a magnaflow. but flowmaster does sell a muffler called the outlaw series its just a straight through exhaust with no ceramic glass packing in it. so it will be louder and flow better than magnaflow. so your answer is if you want it loud but want max horse power go with the flowmaster outlaw series but if you just want a nice deep tone not to loud but still good flow than i would saw magnaflow
i had the same problem .. i changed out my exhaust and eliminated the first catilac converter. im now running a y pipe straight into a magnaflow high flow cat with a magnaflow performance muffler... now i have all the power i need.. .good luck.
no it doesn't but power flow out to waste
