∙ 11y agoI recently smoked weed almost everyday for about 3 months. I noticed that my vocal range (the high end of my vocal range) has increased from what it was before I started smoking. I can hit higher notes and sing songs in their true key that I used to have to change the key or drop an octave to hit the notes. Notes that I used to have to strain to hit before (for years) I am now able to hit with confidence. I'm not sure if smoking directly led to this improvement, but at the very least it made me want to chill and play guitar while I sing a lot, and probably made me feel more comfortable singing tunes at the edge of my range. Who knows, maybe the smoking was good exercise for my throat and lungs. I'm a guy, so maybe the THC messed with my hormones and increased my range. Either way, I wouldn't let fear of destroying your vocal chords get in the way of you getting high.
