They are probably both as addictive, morphine I think is stronger, depending on the mg, though. They both are strong medicines for moderate-severe pain. Small doses of Oxycodone are usually combined with acetaminophen (generic for Tylenol), which is usually prescribed for mild-moderate conditions such as mild broken limbs, Back pain, sciatica, after getting teeth pulled, etc. Whereas, morphine is normally prescribed after major surgeries, cancer, etc... more severe conditions, as well as high doses of oxycodone. So yeah, it pretty much works the same depending on the doses. I strongly suggest not to take morphine unless directed by your doctor in case of accidental overdose, or oxycodone for that matter but if you were to take anything, do not take more then 5 or 10 mgs if you've never taken it before.

Honestly, Yes & NO Oxycodone usually does not come up positive for morphine on a drug test because they have different chemical structures...They are almost identical, so it really depends on the amount that was ingested...A faint line may appear for morphine meaning that the urine is skeptical, but nowdays urine is being sent to labs to confirm a specific drug or drug metabolite...Example : Oxycodone metabolizes in the body as Oxymorphone,, meaning if a GC/MS (Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry) test is called upon, science can detect if a person has used oxycodone...But nowadays they have a sepcific dipstick/cup test for oxycodone , so i wouldn't suggest to continue using oxycodone if you are not prescribed, especially if you have legal problems where you are being drug tested. Embeda is extended-release morphine (with sequestered naltrexone) and roxicodone is immediate-release oxycodone. Morphine and oxycodone provide similar pain relief if the dose is properly adjusted. Morphine is an opiate derivative, the same as Oxycodone. Chances are these will not surpress any pain you have. I just had an emergency apendectomy,they gave me 2 shots through My IV and after 45 minuets I was still in just as much pain. The hospital then gave me some dilauted and that worked great. For some people opiates don't work.

I have also found, through personal experience and that of many others I know... morphine makes me very sick. I start vomiting almost immediately, and the jerking and spasms from the vomiting makes me hurt worse, defeating the purpose! It doesn't make sense, but they can give you morphine more often than they are allowed to give nausea injections in the hospital. I have found Oxycontin, oxycodone, and the other meds in this family to be much less likely to cause the nausea and vomiting.

the half life of suboxone is 36 hours. So 72 hours would eliminate the suboxone from you entirely. But depending on your dose you could have oxycodone work sooner. Example if your mu receptors are not filled (2mg suboxone or below). But all in all you will have to wait a full two days before the oxycodone will work to your satisfaction, to my expierence.
