yes you can drink out of the mississippi river bu just not the parts were there is moss.
Moss absorbs water primarily through its leaves and stems rather than through roots, making it dependent on moisture in its environment. The amount of water moss "drinks" varies based on humidity, temperature, and light conditions. Typically, moss requires a consistently damp environment to thrive, but it can also tolerate periods of dryness before rehydrating when moisture becomes available again. Overall, the water uptake is minimal compared to larger plants, as mosses are adapted to absorb water directly from the air and substrate.

Strain the liquid into another container and separate the boiled Irish moss trash from the drink. Add the rest of the ingredients to the mixture, now do a taste test. Add more of anything you feel that would make this drink taste the way you want it to. Put it to cool in the refrigerator for 4 hours. Serve in 12 oz. cups. Note: Because the thickness of this drink can vary, you may have to dilute this mixture to an acceptable level of consistency. This drink can be flavored with other flavorings such as Jamaican Strawberry Syrup, or add Peanut Butter, or Rolled Oats, or Ground Cashews, the possiblities are endless.
