Don't believe so. Possibly MS, rheumatoid arthritis or other muscular problem causing foot drop. I have recently been diagnosed with MS after years of muscular problems that were attributed to fibromyalgia. It was the podiatrist who first suspected MS because of my strange gait when walking and foot drop. Fibromyalgia is a relatively new and misunderstood condition so it's often difficult to know what problems are caused by fibromyalgia and what problems could be caused by something else. I personally put up with a whole host of problems because I assumed the doctors' would simply blame fibromyalgia and claim they could do nothing more to help. I would urge anyone not to think this way. If you are suffering in any way make an appointment with your GP; if you're still suffering after your appointment make a nuisance of yourself until they take you seriously. If you have foot drop... why? Ask your GP anddemand a referral if necessary. Good luck and good health x

Multiple sclerosis (MS) can cause balance problems due to the damage it does to the central nervous system, particularly the myelin sheath that insulates nerve fibers. This damage disrupts communication between the brain and the body, affecting coordination and proprioception—the body's ability to sense its position. Additionally, MS can impact the cerebellum, which is crucial for balance and motor control. As a result, individuals with MS may experience unsteadiness, difficulty walking, and challenges in maintaining balance.

The acceleration is calculated using the formula: acceleration = (final velocity - initial velocity) / time taken. In this case, the acceleration would be (3 ms - 1 ms) / 1 s = 2 ms^2.
