Generally speaking, the property you own prior to marriage is yours and goes with you when you leave the marriage. Even though you refinanced in your name only, did your wife make any contributions to the property, like care and maintenance, painting or redecorating? Did you have a joint checking account? If you both put money into that account, you can't necessarily say that it was only YOUR money that went for the mortgage, and only her money that bought the groceries. You both shared the responsibilities for that property along with your other obligations including utility bills, etc. The value of your house has (I assume) increased during the course of your marriage and your wife may be entitled to a percentage of that capital gain, which you would have to pay her from your share of the marital assets to buy out her interest in the house. Check with your attorney and the specific laws of your state so you know what you may be up against, and can prepare for it.
As boys and girls grew up, the boy's rights increased dramatically, whereas the rights of girls did not. Before marriage, a girl's did not. Before marriage, a girl's father controlled her life, after marriage her husband did. Men had to rights to inherit property. Men had the rights to go to school depending on their status.
They have no rights in that particular policy. The proceeds will be paid over to you bypassing probate.
No. My husband owned a house in North Carolina before we got married, he refinanced it after we got married the deed is in my name but the loan is not. Do I still have a legal right to the house when we divorce? Once the property is deeded in your name it is considered a gift to the marriage and you now have legal rights.
Yes, you have rights, understand them before you give birth.
Are you in Californica?
Depends on the will
Responsibilty and ownership rights in the home is different from rights and responsibilities for the loan. Anyone who signed the loan note is responsible for the monetary debt.
Sense Lincoln did a good job during the war and ended the war people hoped that we would face the next issue and legalize gay rights and lgbt Rights a marriage
States that permit same-sex marriage will list same-sex spouses on the birth certificate of any child born to either spouse during the marriage. In this case, as well as in cases of adoption, the parental rights belong to both spouses equally.
The law presumes that the husband is the father of a child conceived or born during a marriage, unless/until proven otherwise. So, the husband would have the same rights concerning that child as any other.
The only way to get all rights back from the co-borrower is to have the loan refinanced. The co-borrower will have to agree to remove their name from the car.
You don't lose any marriage rights. ----- Well there are some conjugal rights that may not be available to you if one of you is in prison!
