No. I was curious about this today and did some testing on some of my Asian friends. Todays results come back as a conclusive "no. Asians do not have peripheral vision."
I am assuming you mean "suck" blood. The vampire, in mythology, had a craving for it. In todays modern society those claiming to be or exhibiting vampire like behaviors drink it (it is widely believed and accepted) because of an unusual deficiency in the blood. Many are anemic, or something similar, and find themselves craving rare meat at the best of times and blood at others. If they do not, they begin experiencing feelings of weakness or lethargy, followed by a period of increased sensitivity to light. Once they're "fed", however, these symptoms usually disappear and the person resumes life as normal.
People with albinism have little or no pigment in their eyes, skin, or hair (white skin, hair, no eyebrows or eyelashes and pale blue eyes or pale pink eyes, but can be violet or brown). They have inherited genes that do not make the usual amounts of a pigment called melanin. One person in 17,000 in the U.S.A. has some type of albinism. Albinism affects people from all races. Albinos must protect their eyes from the sunlight. Albinos use to stick to themselves simply because society seems to have a problem accepting them or will at least stare at them and treat them "different." In todays world they are healthy in every way, intelligent and can lead normal lives.
The Origin of Species has effected us massively. Firstly and most obviously, the book expanded our knowledge of the natural world greatly. It claimed that all species fight for survival in 'the survival of the fittest.' Creatures that are better adapted to their environment will survive longer, produce more young and pass on their favourable characteristicts to their young until this branch of the creature becomes a completely new species (it cannot breed with the old ones) or replaces the old ones completely. However, the book has influenced us in many other ways to. The whole structure of the idea of 'the survival of the fittest' has led to racism (when people think their race is better than others just as a better adapted creature would be better than a badly adapted one. It has also lead to the justification of certain movements such as the Hitler's idea of the supreme Aryan race. It could also be argued that the 'survival of the fittest' can also be paralleled to todays economic system in which businesses fight for survival in a tough economic world where only the better prepared ones will profit and be able to stay open and functioning. I hope this answers your question!
