You do need qualifications to drive a big trucks. As different size vehicles, have different classes, they require specific licenses. You will have to pass a test to get the proper license to drive a large truck.
Your going to need to have proper documentation and a permit to be able to drive. If you are driving through Mexico you'll still need proper documentation giving you permission to drive a truck. You need A commercial drivers license in order to drive a big rig. You may also need other special licensing depending on what you are transporting.
It depends on what class the vehicle is. There are certain weight limits and it makes up the various classes for the truck. If it is a big truck you will need a commercial drivers license to be able to drive it just a mile down the road. Check and see what class the vehicle is and then you will know if you need a cdl.
Depends on the size of the team. In a big, well-funded team all you need is a fast reaction time and to be really good at driving. In a smaller, poorer team, you probably need to bring some other qualities to the job too. Drive the transport truck, double as a mechanic, do the bookkeeping, bring in the sponsors etc.

Most week days I Drive a big truck to carry gravel.
If I'm still driving a big truck and go to doctor and he tells me that I'm not going to be able to drive anymore, can I go file for disability and still drive or do I need to quit and then file?
The best place to learn how to drive a truck would be a big rig driving school. Being taught by someone who is a certified driver is the best and safest way to go.
