Yes, and No. I have been taking offbrand vicodin for Back pain. I also drug test every week for probation. I have never tested (preliminary) positive for any drug. Hydrocodone (vicodin) does not show up in a dip stick test for some reason. Morphine almost certainly would give a preliminary positive. They would then send the sample to the lab for further gc/ms testing. They would be able to then discern the difference between the two substances after this lab test.
Vicoden and Percocet will show up in a urine screen the same because they are in the same family they can brake them down to the codeine family, morphine will show up as morphine that is in a different class of opioid.
When being tested in an office which normally is a dip stick form of test then Heroin and Vicodin will show up the same because they are both opiates. However, if the test is sent to a lab then that is where the difference will come up.
No. Heroin, morphine, codeine, & opium are the only drugs tested for by the standard opiate test on your typical "SAMHSA-5" (previously known as the "NIDA-5 " standardized urine test). This is because the common metabolite morphine is produced with use of the opiates mentioned above. This is not the case with most other opiates & synthetic opiates (opioids).. such as hydrocodone. Therefore the standard 5-panel urine test will not show a positive result for opiates proceeding Vicodin use. This is also true of any other type of standard, 5-panel drug test which screens for typical morphine-based opiates: including blood tests & hair tests. Hydrocodone/Vicodin will not show up as heroin, but can be tested for separately (see below).
Hydrocodone (the active opioid in Vicodin) is included on extended NIDA/SAMHSA tests, along with other opiates/opioids such as: propoxyphene (Darvocet/Darvon), methadone, oxycodone (Oxycontin, Percocet), & less often: buprenorphine (Suboxone), fentanyl (Duragesic), & hydromorphone (Dilaudid).
they both show up on a drugscreen, but are two different compounds..
No, Percocet (Oxycodone) and Vicodin (Hydrocodone) are 2 different painkillers.
yes
they are both opiates
No Darvocet will show up as narcotics on a drug test same as Percocet or vicodin.
Yes it certainly does...
No there not the same! Hydrocodone is a drug called Hycodan, and Vicodin is a drug called Valium.
they show up as 2 different things
Absolutely not... Lortab is another name for vicodin, hydrocodone, or norco. Percocet or oxycodone has a different chemical make up from the lortab or vicodin. They are and can be detected separately on a U.A.
Yes
Yes, they are both oxycodone and will show up as an opiate.
Percocet is a combination of Oxycodone and Tylenol; Vicodin is a brand name for Hydrocodone. While both are similar, Oxycodone is the stronger of the 2, and both will show on a test as an opiate.
yes
yes it will.
yes
it will come up the same because they are both opiots Wrong... you will test positive for opiates, however, the test I take test for many drugs including hydrocodone (vicodin) and oxycodone (percocet, roxicodone) and they show up as different drugs. If you have been taking vicodin you will test positive for hydrocodone, if you have been taking percocet you will test positive for oxycodone. It also depends on how specific your drug test is.
