I currently drive a vehicle for a company. I am on loritab prescription for headaches, and I let my employers know this. My boss gave me the impression that anything prescribed would not fail me in DOT nor company random drug screens.

However, you have a legal prescription for the medication, which would basically exempt you from the failing, and your employer cannot let you go since you are prescribed them. Your employer may require some sort of proof of the prescription, though, such as your current bottle of medication or a letter from your doctor.
