No, but it could cause damage to you or your baby. It could cause internal bleeding and hospitalization. Another possibility is that it could cause your unborn child to be impaired, handicapped, or hurt in some other way. So you could be having an unplanned pregnancy, think that you aren't ready to have a kid, or face the trouble with your parents, or that you are too young to raise a child, but think again how hard it would be to have a handicapped child (and that a punch in the stomach caused it). When you think if things like this, it is important to realize that there are always consequences that you may not consider...like you could start to hemorrhage and then not get to the doctor in time, and you could die. If you are young and you are pregnant, there is no doubt that this is going to be a tough time for you. I hope that your parents can help you work through it (they may be angry and disappointed, but they will always love you). Think through your choices carefully. If I was in your situation, I might consider talking to the folks at HOPE for Children - they do a lot of good work in placing babies with good families - which gives you the opportunity to move forward with your life, and without the guilt of an abortion (which of course is also an option, but certainly not an easy one).
